Confirmado o favoritismo, as séries Modern Family e Breaking bad foram as grandes vencedoras na categoria de melhor comédia e drama da televisão na 65ª edição dos Prêmios Emmy. Considerado como o “Oscar da televisão” nos Estados Unidos, o evento aconteceu no último domingo, dia 22.
Previsto para acabar na próxima semana, Breaking bad levou o prêmio de melhor série de drama pela primeira vez. A trama conta a história de um professor de química que se torna produtor de metanfetamina. Já Modern family manteve a sequência de vitória após faturar o quarto Emmy seguido na categoria melhor comédia.
Saturday Night Live se tornou o programa que mais conquistou prêmios ao longo da premiação, somando 40 nesta última edição. Se por um lado houve a confirmação de grandes vencedores no 65º Emmy, teve também a de grandes derrotados, como foi o caso de Mad Men, que de 30 indicações ao longo do tempo, não faturou nenhuma. Além disso, Game of thrones e American horror story foram as produções que mais tiveram indicações, somando 16 e 17 categorias, respectivamente.
